That is what I kept saying as this sunrise took shape and colour before my eyes. Each sunrise is unique in its colour and position of cloud, and where the light of the magic golden hour touches the sky.

This morning’s sunrise was subtle. The was a crimson glow low on the horizon, and fringes of purple on each linear layer of cloud. The sunrise itself sent a beacon of pink skywards for a short while above one of the Solitary Islands, with a smattering of pink to the south. The wet sand was kissed by a small pink reflection. The tide sucked back between the rocks in a swirling curve.

So a subtle sunrise, cold and blue, but still extraordinarily beautiful and unique like a fingerprint.
