Boambee Rocks

Boambee_rocks_3

These clouds looked a bit Donnie Darko like, hanging down vertically.

There was some rain clouds around on dusk and I drove down to Boambee. During gaps in cloud the sun emerged revealing some rainbows over toward Park Beach. The sunset was a lot less colourful than last time I was there. I tried a different angle, and to capture the waves as they spilled back over the rock. I think the photos work best with a slightly shorter shutter speed, so some of the water movement is still maintained, and the water is not turned into a milky mist. Using live view for focusing is really helpful, and I am getting more sued to making sure I shoot all my images in Camera raw. I’d really prefer if it were the default on the camera, so that I didn’t have to press the raw button every time I took a photo.
