Red Cliff

It is a fairly long drive from Coffs Harbour to Brooms Head. I got lost and finished up at Yamba and then had to back track to Brooms Head. I arrived about 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon and stopped at Red Cliff in Yuraygir National Park. There was no time for taking plant photos. I walked along the beach and took photographs of the rocks under Red Cliff. These cliffs are similar to the outcropping rock at Red Rock. The rocks are blood red in colour, with big chunks of conglomerate in some or them. The tide was crashing into the base of the cliff and I got my feet wet with the backwash reaching up to my knees and beyond. Red Cliff was busy with campers, many of them fisherman. Kangaroos where everywhere. A big male was sitting behind the park interpretation sign.
